If you've been trying to figure out what's coming next for Fortnite and are left saying "It's all Greek to me" then you'd be quite correct as Season 2 certainly seems to have something of an Ancient Grecian theme to it.

It's hard to know how Epic might top the inclusion of characters like Peter Griffin, Eminem and Solid Snake, but there is word on the proverbial street that we'll see more LEGO crossovers as well as an appearance from the Power Rangers.

There's plenty to go over, but all shall be revealed down below so read on!

When does Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 end? Confirmed date

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is scheduled to end at 7am on Friday 8th March 2024 for those in the UK.

Anyone in the US can expect Chapter 5 Season 1 to end at 11pm PT on 7th March/2am ET on 8th March 2024.

It's worth noting that timings for the end of the current season are subject to change. Epic Games has changed the end date and times for previous seasons, including the last one of Chapter 4.

We’ll know for certain when the Chapter 5 Season 1 end date is in Fortnite as we near 7th/8th March 2024, and will update this page if anything changes.

When does Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 start? Speculated date

The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 release date is expected to be Friday 8th March 2024. This all depends on the length of downtime that will take place upon the conclusion of Chapter 5 Season 1.

We could see downtime of just a few hours or, potentially, a couple of days. We won’t know until just before the ending of Chapter 5 Season 1 when Epic Games should detail precisely when Chapter 5 Season 2 is set to begin.

Again, we’ll update this page with official confirmation of the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 start time when Epic Games reveals the information, presumably on or around 8th March 2024.

What could happen in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2? Leaks, rumours and predictions

Recently, a mysterious pair of giant stone arms popped out of the earth, revealing Pandora's box. Like real archaeologists, players shot at this box until it popped open, causing a giant orange plume of light to shoot out.

X (formerly Twitter) user JorgeMost couldn't help but ask if we'll get a teaser soon and as seen above, the Fortnite X account responded with yes.

This teaser then arrived, depicting Zeus and his thunderbolt as a constellation in the sky.

This was then followed up by what appears to be a rendition of Hades - god of the underworld - holding a snake-chain.

With everything ramping up, we shouldn't have too long to wait for an official announcement, but until then – let's get speculating.

Back in December, it was rumoured Season 2 would have a mythological Greek setting, something all but confirmed by the inclusion of Pandora's box.

This is said to include many themed skins (based on Greek gods), an overhaul of the map in the style, and a boss that could potentially be Zeus with lightning powers.

The season is suggested to have a codename of 'Aiga', which is 'Goat' in Greek, too.

While nothing is officially confirmed, this does seem legitimate due to the number of images datamined and now Epic teasing the theme itself. A new NPC named Odyssey has been spotted near Risky Reels, which has only added fuel to the fire.

Another supposed leak suggests that Fortnite will collaborate further with LEGO to introduce Ninjago to its dedicated game mode.

That does sound very plausible, with Ninjago buildings, enemies, bosses and familiar faces from Ninjago all set to appear. This rumoured collaboration gained traction when shared by Fortnite leaker Shiina on social media.

Sticking with LEGO, another rumour from Hypex (via X, formerly Twitter) states that the plastic brick toy company and Epic are working on a big UEFN (Unreal Engine for Fortnite) update known as Atom.

This is suggested to introduce more LEGO collaborations and the ability to create a custom LEGO world, among other new additions.

It was then further corroborated by another leaker, ShinnaBR, that these LEGO maps will let people make money off them. The details of this aren't clear yet, so we'll have to wait and see if this comes true.

We could be seeing Power Rangers (finally!) making its way into Fortnite, if this rumour from ShiinaBR is anything to go on.

As spotted by Insider Gaming, Nick 'Shpeshal Nick' Baker of the XboxERA podcast shared that they had heard rumours of a Power Rangers collaboration too.

"What I’ve heard about who’s coming to Fortnite, and it may be soon, I’ve heard that we might be seeing the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers coming to Fortnite," said Baker. Their record with leaks is hit and miss, so as always take this stuff lightly.

In other updates that could take place in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, Epic Games has promised that Guitar Hero/Rock Band controller compatibility is on the way to Fortnite Festival, which we could see happening by spring 2024.

We’re also expecting the standard slew of new content updates in all Fortnite modes, including Battle Royale and its battle pass, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival (more Jam Tracks!). Here's hoping Epic Games reveals more soon.
