Moshi Monsters are this generation's Pokémon, only they're British, not Japanese. Their website world of customisable "pets" has expanded to embrace collectibles, magazines, books and videos. Now, the all-conquering Moshis have invaded cinema too, with a tale in which arch baddie Dr Strangeglove steals the mystical Great Moshling Egg as part of his fiendish plan to take over Monstro City and its moshis. It falls to cocky martial arts fan Katsuma and his pals to stop him. Moshi Monsters: the Movie is colourful, sort of cute, weirdly surreal, and thoroughly impenetrable to anyone aged over eight. Ask your younger kids to explain it to you.
