After a late surge in the Premier League last season, Liverpool managed to secure fifth place and a spot in the Europa League for next campaign.

While it wasn't the aim at the start of the season for the Reds, Jurgen Klopp's men had a sub-par campaign, so they'll be content with landing in the Europa League.
It's unlikely Liverpool will spend huge sums in the summer transfer window, however, the Anfield hierarchy will look for shrewd deals to bring in quality players at low prices as they eye a top four finish next season.

Liverpool's midfield has creaked under the weight of age, injuries and a general lack of investment recently, however, they've started to rectify that by bringing in World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton.
Mac Allister could be the first of many arrivals at Anfield this summer, with Liverpool said to be eyeing Khephren Thuram of Nice. It's claimed talks are ongoing over a move for the French midfielder.
The Reds are also looking at Celta Vigo's Gabri Veiga. The 21-year-old midfielder is reportedly keen on the idea of heading to Anfield and he wants to work with Klopp.
In terms of exits, Fabio Carvalho could be on his way out, with Lazio eyeing the 20-year-old.
