"Secret's out!!" the official "And Just Like That..." Twitter account said on Wednesday (31st May), confirming that Cattrall would be back to reprise her role in the second season of the Max show.
According to Variety, the star shot her dialogue back in March without seeing or speaking to the rest of the stars of the series, including Sarah Jessica Parker, and is set to appear in just one scene - a phone conversation with Carrie Bradshaw (Parker).
In the first season, Carrie contacted Samantha via text message and in the finale, the pair made a plan to reunite and make amends.
Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) will be back too, alongside the divisive Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez), whose relationship with Miranda seems to be going strong, at least judging by new images released by Max (above).
The inimitable Seema (Sarita Choudhury) and the fabulous Anthony (Mario Cantone) will be back too, however Stanford will sadly not return following the passing of actor Willie Garson.
We also know there'll be love in the air for Carrie following the loss of her husband Big (Chris Noth) in season 1. The show's official social media accounts have confirmed fan-favourite former love interest Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) is back, and he and Carrie will give their romance another go.
Fans may have already seen the images of the pair on Twitter, which show them embracing in the streets of New York alongside the caption: "And just like that Carrie is back on her tip toes."

Here is everything we know about when the Sex and the City revival And Just Like That will return.
And Just Like That season 2 release date
A full release date has been confirmed, with And Just Like That season 2 set to launch on Monday 22nd June 2023 on NOW.
The month of release was confirmed in the trailer for the second season.
In a statement, Sarah Aubrey, the head of original content at HBO Max, said of the renewal: "We have been delighted by the cultural conversation generated by these characters and their stories, set in a world we already know and love so much.
"We are proud of the work Michael Patrick King and our wonderful writers, producers, cast and crew have done to bring these stories to the screen. We can’t wait for fans to see what’s in store for season 2!"
Executive producer Michael Patrick King had previously addressed the prospect of a potential second season.
Speaking to Variety about a return, King commented: “We did something that was hard to do, which is we took something familiar and did make it new…for better and for worse.”

Sarah Jessica Parker agreed and added: “Michael and I spoke two weeks ago, and said: ‘OK, when are we going to talk about this?’
“Because there’s a calendar and you don’t want to let too much time pass. There feels like there’s momentum.”
Meanwhile, Casey Bloys, the chief content officer at HBO and HBO Max described the series as Max’s most successful to date - adding further fuel to the suggestion of a second run.
“In terms of viewership, it’s been phenomenal. I couldn’t be happier with how it’s doing in terms of reception,” commented Bloys.

And Just Like That could not continue without the leading trio of ladies. The following cast members have been confirmed to be returning.

Sara Ramirez will also return as comedian and podcast host Che Diaz in the second season, continuing their controversial romance with Miranda who left husband Steve for Che last season.
Speaking to Variety, Ramirez said: "The first season was judging a book by its cover, and Season 2 is about reading the book."

Showrunner Michael Patrick King added: "One of my burning passions about Season 2 is Che. I want to show the dimension of Che that people didn’t see, for whatever reason — because they were blinded, out of fear or terror. I want to show more of Che rather than less of Che. Like, really."
The series will also expand Che's backstory by introducing their father, played by Tony Danza.
Another cast member has been confirmed for the second season in the form of one of Carrie's most legendary Sex and the City love interests: Aidan Shaw, played by John Corbett.

Corbett appeared in multiple seasons of Sex and the City and also the second film, being Carrie's most important romance aside from the late Mr Big.
So, with Mr Big now out of the picture, is a romantic reunion on the cards with Aidan?
According to ET Online, "Corbett is set for a substantial, multi-episode arc on the second season... reprising his role as the likeable furniture maker."
Corbett and Parker have been seen filming in multiple locations around Manhattan and looked very comfortable with each other. Is now the time to get our hopes up for romantic happiness for Carrie?
However, we also have a new love interest for Carrie herself in the form of Ivan Hernandez as her podcast producer Franklyn, who is confirmed to be returning. The pair shared a passionate elevator encounter in the finale of the first season - will they enter into a serious relationship?

Sarita Choudhury will also return as Carrie's new friend Seema Patel, an estate agent looking for love, and will be of a fixture in the lead trio's lives now. Emily in Paris star William Abadie is also back as Seema’s new lover, nightclub owner Zed.
Elsewhere, we will see a return for Charlotte’s family in the form of Evan Handler as her beloved husband Harry Goldenblatt, plus we will likely see Alexa Swinton as child Rock Goldenblatt and Cathy Ang as daughter Lily Goldenblatt.
Niall Cunningham would also likely be back as Miranda's son Brady Hobbes opposite Cree Cicchino as his girlfriend Luisa Torres.

David Eigenberg could also return as Miranda’s devoted estranged husband, Steve Brady, but this is yet to be confirmed. Could they ever reconcile? Or is their marriage over for good?
And Just Like That also introduced us to new friends of the leading ladies and showed us their lives so we will see returns for Nicole Ari Parker as Lisa Todd Wexley, and Karen Pittman as Dr Nya Wallace.
LTW's husband Herbert Wexley (Christopher Jackson) has also been spotted on set, so expect to see him back too.
Also returning is Katerina Tannenbaum as Carrie's younger neighbour Lisette. Will the pair's friendship grow even stronger?
Tannenbaum has been spotted filming around New York with Parker so expect scenes between the two.

Additionally, despite Kim Cattrall's continued absence, the character of Samantha Jones will remain an off-screen presence in Carrie's life.
Sadly we will not be seeing Willie Garson return as Stanford Blatch due to the actor’s death in 2021. He was written out of And Just Like That much earlier than planned as a result, with the character leaving for Japan and his marriage to Anthony coming to an end.
Finally, Chris Noth will also not return as Mr Big/John James Preston following the character’s death and his scenes being cut out of the season 1 finale.
What will happen in And Just Like That season 2?

The second season will continue to examine Carrie's new romance with podcast producer Franklyn, should it return, while also exploring her new career hosting podcast Sex and the City.
However, Carrie looks set to be looking back by donning one of her wedding dresses for her aborted first wedding with Mr Big.
And as if that wasn't enough - Carrie will be reunited with her former boyfriend Aidan Shaw. Will the pair reunite their romance?
It seems widowed Carrie will have multiple romantic options in the new run!

Meanwhile, the consequences of Miranda – now back with her red hair – choosing her romance with Che over her career and marriage to Steve will also likely be felt.
Miranda will definitely be back in New York after leaving for Los Angeles with Che, however, but it seems Che will make their way back to the Big Apple too, sharing scenes with Carrie.

The series will also be expanding on the backstory and family history of Che Diaz by introducing Che's father.
Elsewhere, we will most likely see Charlotte continue to deal with her growing children, particularly with Rock exploring their gender identity.
Charlotte will also be continuing her friendship with the rather fabulous Lisa Todd Wexley.
Finally, the future of Nya's marriage and Seema's new romance will also need to be followed up.
